Choosing the right LED spotlight size
Selecting the correct size is essential when choosing LED spots. Common formats include 35 mm (MR11), 50 mm (MR16/GU10), 70 mm and 111 mm (AR111). The size influences the beam angle, installation options and overall look. Smaller sizes are perfect for subtle accent lighting, while larger 111 mm spots deliver powerful illumination for hospitality, retail or spacious interiors.
Understanding Kelvin, lumen and LED efficiency
Colour temperature (Kelvin) sets the mood, while lumen determines brightness. Warm white (2700–3000K) creates a cosy atmosphere, whereas 4000K provides a clean, neutral-white tone. Lumen values replace old incandescent watt ratings. To help you choose, here’s a quick comparison:
