Still using a 300-watt halogen tube in your floor lamp or floodlight? Now’s the time to upgrade. Modern R7S LED replacements are much more energy-efficient, last significantly longer, and stay much cooler than traditional halogen bulbs.
A 300W halogen lamp uses a lot of power. A comparable LED uses only 15–20 watts for the same brightness. LEDs also stay cooler and last up to 15,000 hours, compared to 2,000 for halogen. You can also choose different color temperatures, from warm to cool white.
Lamp length: Usually 78 mm or 118 mm. Measure your old one.
Voltage: Most are 230V – match the same.
Brightness: Choose 2000–4000 lumens for a 300W replacement.
Dimmability: If your fixture is dimmable, choose a dimmable LED.
Turn off the power.
Let the halogen cool.
Remove the old bulb.
Click the LED into place.
Turn power on and test.
Some LEDs may be slightly thicker, so check the fitting space.
Modern R7S LEDs with 3000+ lumens easily replace 300W halogen. Look at lumen output and color temperature, like 2700K for warm white.
