An extra person can be helpful
Place the fan in the center of the room, at least 2.3 meters from the floor. Avoid obstructions and ensure the ceiling can support the weight.
Turn off power at the breaker and double-check with a voltage tester to ensure it’s safe to work.
Use the provided bracket and fasten it securely to the ceiling. Use plugs for concrete or screw directly into a wooden beam.
Connect brown (live) wire to L, blue (neutral) to N, and yellow/green (earth) if required. Some fans have separate connections for light and motor.
Hang the fan on the hook or secure it to the bracket as per instructions. Tuck away wires neatly and ensure nothing is hanging loose.
Turn power back on and test the fan and light. Ensure smooth rotation and secure mounting.
Use a remote or wall control for convenience.
Check installation annually and clean moving parts.
In winter, reverse blade direction to circulate warm air.
Mounting a ceiling fan is a doable DIY task if you follow safety steps carefully.
