Before starting, switch off the power at the circuit breaker. Use a voltage tester to confirm that the wires are no longer live. This prevents accidents and ensures a safe working environment.
Remove the cover plate of the old switch.
Note the wire positions (L, N, dim output).
Disconnect the wires and remove the old switch.
Check the wire condition and strip the ends again if necessary.
Connect the phase (L) to the dimmer’s input.
Connect the neutral wire (N) to the neutral terminal.
Connect the dim output to the light fixture.
Ensure all wires are properly secured.
Install the dimmer in the wall box and attach the cover plate.
Turn the power back on and adjust the dimmer knob. If the lights dim smoothly without flickering, the installation was successful!
Regularly check if the dimmer is overheating.
Replace defective bulbs immediately to avoid overload.
Clean the cover plate to prevent dust buildup.
